Innovation Materials Curated Exhibition
Architecture has long moved beyond the mere realization of form. At the Innovation Materials Curated Exhibition, we place at the forefront the materials that form the foundation of architectural compositions.

As the cities of Central Asia are currently undergoing a major period of transformation under climate-unstable conditions, the question is not only how we build, but also what we build with.

We invite manufacturers of construction and finishing materials to take part in the Innovation Materials Exhibition and share their unique products with a global audience.

Innovation criteria
  • Production Circularity
Is the material derived from waste (for example, biochar from agricultural waste), or is it 100% recyclable at the end of its lifecycle without loss of quality?
  • Climate Performance (a key driver in Central Asia)
Does the material address the specific conditions of the region? Consider high-performance solar shading systems, “smart” energy-generating glazing, or materials resistant to extreme temperature fluctuations (from +45°C to −30°C).
  • Low Carbon Emissions and Carbon Sequestration
It is not enough to simply be “low-carbon.” Does the material actively capture or store CO₂ (for example, carbon-negative concrete, bio-composite woodcrete, or mycelium-based materials)?
  • Technological Integration
Is the material “smart”? For example, self-healing concrete that repairs cracks during use, or thermochromic glass that changes color depending on temperature.
  • Scalability and Feasibility
Can this realistically be implemented in cities like Tashkent or Astana tomorrow, or is it only a laboratory experiment? Innovation must be ready for market application.
  • Human Impact
Does it improve indoor environmental quality (IEQ) through active air filtration, reduction of noise pollution through new geometric solutions, or the use of biophilic design to reduce stress for occupants?
ARCHITECTURAL PROJECTS EXHIBITION
The ARCHICA Congresses have become a chronicle of urbanization in Central Asia. Discussions held within the framework of the congress often raise issues that anticipate the current discourse by years ahead — thanks to the high level of expertise of the speakers and the outstanding participation of leading architectural practices.

Architectural bureaus and design companies are given a central role in a new participation format: the Architectural Projects Exhibition.

The exhibition provides architectural studios with a prestigious platform to present both completed and upcoming landmark projects. This carefully curated collection aims to showcase the most significant works that are transforming the urban landscape of the region.
